About Japan Night Concert
Back in October 9th, we organized a charity event "Japan Night Concert".
We have raised $10,000.00 for the city of Minamisoma which is a sister city to Pendleton, OR.
This has been donated to "Minamisoma International Association" for their city projects and schools to rebuild their city.
Thank you all for supporting us for this meaningful event.
We will continue to be a part of Minamisoma to recover from the natural disaster.

The Great Eastern Japan EarthquakeThree years have passed since that day which suddenly took away
so many lives, hopes, and dreams. So many were affected by that terrible disaster, and those survivors still need much help to carve out a future for their families. And the restoration of futures could rise from the pain of this terrible tragedy. The main asset of Japan is its people, responsible for the spirit of Japan, and I hope that Japan can contribute its unique culture to the world for generations come. All proceeds of the concert will go to the survivors in the affected area. Oregon is still reminded of the devastation by the continuous flow of tsunami debris onto its beaches. The purpose of this event is to cement the special relationship between the people of Portland and survivors of the tsunami and its future generations. |
Donation to
Minamisoma city in Fukushima
(Sister city of Pendleton) Minamisoma was devastated by the Great Eastern Japan tsunami and earthquake. But it also lies just 16 miles from the Fukushima nuclear plants which were destroyed, and many of the surviving residents had to be evacuated from their homes, and remain so even today. Concert proceeds will be donated to assist the many programs which are in place to help the people of Minamisoma get back their lives, and finally put this unprecedented disaster behind them. |
